Vortex dynamics for 2D Euler flows with unbounded vorticity

چکیده

It is well known that the dynamics of vortices in an ideal incompressible two-dimensional fluid contained a bounded not necessarily simply connected smooth domain described by Kirchhoff–Routh point vortex system. In this paper, we revisit classical problem how solutions to Euler equations approximate these dynamics, and extend previous rigorous results case where vorticity field unbounded. More precisely, establish estimates for 2-Wasserstein distance between empirical measure associated with dynamics. particular, derive estimate on order weak convergence

On the Flow Map for 2d Euler Equations with Unbounded Vorticity

In Part I, we construct a class of examples of initial velocities for which the unique solution to the Euler equations in the plane has an associated flow map that lies in no Hölder space of positive exponent for any positive time. In Part II, we explore inverse problems that arise in attempting to construct an example of an initial velocity producing an arbitrarily poor modulus of continuity o...

Lack of Hölder Regularity of the Flow for 2d Euler Equations with Unbounded Vorticity

We construct a class of examples of initial vorticities for which the solution to the Euler equations in the plane has an associated flow that lies in no Hölder space of positive exponent for any positive time. Our initial vorticities have L-norms that do not grow much faster than log p, which Yudovich showed ensures the uniqueness of solutions to the Euler equations ([8]). Our class of example...

Gluing Methods for Vortex Dynamics in Euler Flows

A classical problem for the two-dimensional Euler flow for an incompressible fluid confined to a smooth domain. is that of finding regular solutions with highly concentrated vorticities around N moving vortices. The formal dynamic law for such objects was first derived in the 19th century by Kirkhoff and Routh. In this paper we devise a gluing approach for the construction of smooth N-vortex so...

Bounds on the Dispersion of Vorticity in 2D Incompressible, Inviscid Flows with A Priori Unbounded Velocity

We consider weak solutions of the 2-D incompressible Euler equations with compactly supported initial vorticities in L p , 1 p 2 or bounded measures in H ?1 loc , which are limits of exact solutions obtained by smoothing out initial data. For these solutions we obtain a priori estimates on the evolution of the mass of vorticity and on the measure of the support of vorticity outside a ball of ra...

On the global well-posedness for Euler equations with unbounded vorticity

In this paper, we are interested in the global persistence regularity for the 2D incompressible Euler equations in some function spaces allowing unbounded vorticities. More precisely, we prove the global propagation of the vorticity in some weighted MorreyCampanato spaces and in this framework the velocity field is not necessarily Lipschitz but belongs to the log-Lipschitz class LL, for some α ...
